Top 10 Storytellers of the Year 2020
A Family Story Award is given to the very best series of 15 – 20 images, all of a single family – and winning one is incredibly difficult! A photographer needs to demonstrate a world-class level of creativity, stoytelling and consistency, across all those images, and our judges typically award just the top few percent of submissions. Winning a single Story is an achievement in itself; to have won multiple Stories within the same year – as all these photographers have done – is truly incredible.
Special congratulations to the four photographers who all tied as Storyteller of the Year: You can see a Family Story Award from each of them in the large montage at the top of this page; clockwise from top-left, Rowena Meadows, Menino Conhece Menina, Katrin Küllenberg and Pedro Vilela, who all won 4 Family Story Awards each.
As well as the Top 10 Storytellers Worldwide list below, you can also view our Top 100 Photographers in the World, and we also have Top 10 rankings for the following countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, UK and the USA.
*Ranking is determined by overall number of Awards won in 2020; in the case of a tie, the photographer who won the most Family Story Awards ranks higher.
