Hello, I'm Rebecca, a documentary family photographer living on the Suffolk and Essex border.
My own children are now on the cusp of adulthood and I am all too aware of how fast it went. I love when we all gather around the table and get out the shoebox of photographs and family albums and I never thought I would say this, but I wish there were more photographs of me! I am absolutely passionate about making sure mothers appear in their family's archive, don't be the one always behind the camera or in the shadows. One day your children will want to see you in those pictures.
It makes my heart soar to photograph ordinary families doing everyday things, because those are the moments that really matter. The memories we will want to look back on, the photographs that will give us goosebumps and warm fuzzy feelings in the years to come.
Perhaps it's he sunlight hitting your baby's cheek at the breakfast table while the dog waits patiently by his feet, ready to catch the toast crumbs. Maybe it's the tiny hands learning to tie shoe laces, or the puddle splashing on the way to the park. These are the moments we want to record, to remember, to freeze and treasure. These are the days that pass too quickly.
I love long dog walks, noisy kitchen suppers, weepy films and all the coffee. I don't like Marmite but I won't hold it against you if you do.
