I am a family photojournalist and a mother-of-two from Hungary. Funnily enough, I didn't start my career as a family photographer, up until this day, my primary income comes from interior photography. As I became more confident as a photographer, I started widening my horizon, reading about our predecessors such as Weegee, Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, etc. By this time I was also booked (mostly by my friends and friends of friends) as lifestyle photographer. Very quickly it became clear, that this was not my path, I was desperately looking for a way to incorporate the documentary genre into my work. This is when I found out about Kirsten Lewis and watched all her classes taught on Creative Live. Ever since then, I've only been shooting family sessions in a journalistic manner. Since 2019 I also shoot film, however, I haven't yet dared to try shooting an entire DITL on film. My film photography adventures include mostly portrait sessions and my own family's events. I have a few long-term personal projects going on, as I like to think outside the box and push my boundaries a little bit. These are not necessarily family documentary projects, however I always stay true to the photojournalistic genre.
