About Laura

I've always been drawn to real, unposed images — the ones that feel true. When I first discovered documentary family photography through a book, I fell in love instantly. Becoming a mother made me understand, on a completely different level, why these moments matter so much.

I'm Laura — a documentary family photographer based in Graz Umgebung, Styria, Austria. I specialise in: the postpartum weeks, the quiet of a breastfeeding relationship, the ordinary Tuesday that turns out to be anything but. I've breastfed two children for two years each, and I've lived through the newborn fog, the tenderness, the exhaustion. That's the world I photograph — and I know it from the inside.

My particular focus is on mothers. The women who hold everything together and somehow end up missing from their own family's story. I believe those women deserve to be seen — not polished, not performing, just present.
