About Francesca
Hi, I'm Francesca Alviani, an Italian documentary family photographer based in Munich, Germany.
Before I'm a photographer, I'm the mother of three children, raising my family far from the country where I grew up.
Living motherhood abroad has made this journey even more profound. It has taught me that becoming a mother is not only about watching our children grow, it is also about witnessing our own transformation. The quiet, beautiful, often overwhelming process of matrescence has changed the way I see families, relationships and photography.
That's why I'm especially drawn to mothers. I understand the invisible mental load, the joy, the exhaustion, the doubts and the fierce love that coexist every single day. I know how often mothers are the ones taking the pictures, yet are missing from their own family story. My sessions are dynamic, relaxed and deeply authentic. There is no pressure to perform, no forced smiles and no perfect poses. I simply create space for families to be together, to move, to play, to comfort, to laugh and to love, while I quietly document the moments that truly matter. I don't believe our children need perfect photographs. They need honest ones. They deserve to remember what home really felt like, who held them, who laughed with them and how deeply they were loved.
My mission goes beyond creating beautiful images. I want to help families preserve an honest visual legacy, one that celebrates the beauty of ordinary life and reminds parents that they are enough, exactly as they are.
Because one day these everyday moments will become the memories our children treasure most.
If this way of seeing family resonates with you, I would be honoured to tell your story.
Let's preserve the life you're living today, because it is already extraordinary.
