About Marisa

Marisa Martins is a documentary family and wedding photographer, based near Lisbon, Portugal.
Has a special passion for capturing the beauty of everyday life, even in its most chaotic moments.
She grew up by the sea in Santa Cruz beach in west of Portugal and after graduating in civil engineering, she worked for several years in construction project management.
Everything changed when her daughter Clara was born in 2012. It was then that she decided to professionally embrace an old passion: family photography.
She loves telling stories that moves and try to convey the less obvious beauty of the chaos of real life and demonstrate what makes each family unique.
Trainer and photography mentor for a number of years is now a Canon Europe Ambassador.
