About Agueda

My name is Agueda and I am a Spanish documentary photographer based in Tampa Bay, Florida. I am also the mamarazzi of Lola (7 ) and Lucas (4).

I can document your holidays in the Sunshine State (A day at the beach, Disney, Kennedy Center, Everglades, etc) or travel anywhere to build a family legacy of everyday moments.

Why documentary photography?

APPROACH, UNDERSTAND, CONNECT

-I started documenting what was around me when I was 19 years old and I did my first road trip. It was the perfect way to approach, understand and connect with the places and people I met. Today as a parent, family documentary photography allows me to approach, understand and connect with parents to celebrate the wonderful, chaotic, uplifting, rewarding, challenging, and intensely emotional experiences of family life.

THE IMPORTANCE OF VISUAL FAMILY LEGACIES

– I treasure family photographs and I find a lot of comfort in looking at them and remembering many important moments of the past. I cherish the current stage of my life as a parent and I make sure I build a visual family legacy for my children. I will never forget my daughter’s reaction and the way she told me “I love you mom” when she saw a collection of photographs taken by a documentary photographer of our daily life when she was a toddler and her brother was not born yet.

I realized then how important is to document those daily routines that will slowly disappear as the kids grow.

I realized then how important is to be in the picture with them, the same way we are present in their lives.
