Excited to reveal our largest group feature to date – ‘This was 2021’ – where almost 100 of our members share their favourite documentary family captures from last year. Featuring the work of photographers all over the world, we’re showing just one image per photographer who contributed here, but note that doesn’t mean it’s their single favourite image – it would be too tough to just choose one fave photo from an entire year of shooting! – but each image is within that photographer’s personal Top 5 favourites of the year.
In the third of our ‘This is How’ series – where photographers tell us exactly how they ‘got the shot’ – we have our 2020 joint-winner of Storyteller of the Year, Katrin Küllenberg, telling us exactly how she captured this Reportage Family Award of hers.
Katrin shares so much here, including her thoughts on trying out new things, her use of flash, layering, mirroring, and more…
