Welcome to the very first This is Reportage: Family Awards! It was absolutely fantastic to see so many entries for our first round – with over 4000 images submitted across our Reportage Family Award (for the very best individual captures) and Family Story Award (for a series of 15 – 20 images of a single family) entries.
To get an Award was incredibly tough, with our five judges for this round – the fantastic Pedro Vilela (Portugal), Anna Hardy (UK), Leonard Walpot (Netherlands), Fabio Mirulla (Italy) and Joshua D’hondt (Belgium) – choosing just 114 Reportage Family Awards and 24 Family Story Awards.
What follows truly does represent the best of documentary family photography.
